The JLS star left the nation shocked after he was voted off of the show, following weeks of high scores and impressive dance moves with partner Janette Manrara.
After he was given a score of four from Craig Revel Horwood – while the rest of the judges gave him a seven – after dancing the Viennese Waltz, Aston ended up in the bottom two, alongside Mollie King and AJ Pritchard.
The judges voted to save Mollie and AJ, meaning Craig was soon bombarded with hate on social media from Strictly Come Dancing fans blaming him for Aston’s exit.
But Aston Merrygold’s pegnant girlfriend, Sarah Richards, has exclusively said Craig "deserves" the backlash he received.
"Sorry, Craig – you kind of deserve it. I think this time you got it wrong!" she old OK! magazine when asked about the abuse Craig has been receiving following her boyfriend's exit from the show.
Meanwhile, Aston has seemingly moved on from the ordeal, explaining: "Craig is a judge and he thought it was worth a four."
