You'll rarely see Kate Beckinsale with a cocktail in her hand.
Why? Well, in the January/February issue of Shape magazine, the Underworld actress revealed that she doesn't really drink.
"I don't drink alcohol. I feel [its effects] very quickly, so I've never actually had an entire glass of anything alcoholic."
Hmm, very inneresting. And it may be a good thing Kate doesn't drink as she needs all the motivation she can get in order to workout daily. She continued:
"I start out absolutely dreading it, do an incredibly punishing workout, b*tch about it the whole time and end up feeling 100 percent better when I leave. Working out is basically nature's antidepressant."
So what exactly does the brunette stunner do to stay in such great shape? She meets with her celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson five or six times a week, of course!
The A-lister added:
"I love yoga, and that's all I used to do, but hardcore workouts have really made a big difference in my life. I have a lot of internal energy, and intense exercise helps me channel that energy. I find balance by doing a workout that makes me pour sweat. I never was that girl before, but I am now."
And while the 43-year-old has tried being a vegetarian, she prefers eating a clean diet of meat and vegetables. Kate noted:
"[My 17-year-old daughter] Lily and I eat clean — we have a lot of sautéed vegetables like brussels sprouts and broccoli and chicken and fish."
