On Wednesday, the 52-year-old actress continued to hint there could be hope for the sequel if they could just get someone to replace Kim Cattrall's character — and Ellen might be the perfect fit! Better than her original idea of Colbert, anyway!
After the talk show host asked if the film could be made with just her two other co-stars Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, Parker responded:
"There's a period of grief, a mourning process, and then perhaps we'll be able to consider, say for instance, you playing Samantha."
"I'll offer you the same opportunity [as Colbert]. I'll go across the land—any host."
DeGeneres joked in response:
"[She's] so me. That's who I identify with on that show … That is me. I am a sexual beast. I talk about it a lot. I do it a lot. This is a façade. When you meet me as a real person out in the world, this is my talk show persona."
Ha! For some reason, we don't see this casting working out…
