GEORGE Michael tragically passed away, at the end of last year.
And following the Faith singer’s death, his partner Fadi Fawaz had shocked fans with messages sent from his account, hinting the 53 year old ‘tried to kill himself’.
However, questions have since been raised over whether the couple were still dating, after it was claimed the photographer slept in his car on the night George died.
A friend of the star has now claimed the pair were in fact not together, and had in fact “been estranged” for more than a year.
The insider told The Sun: “Fadi was a leech from the beginning.
“George realised this but I think he deliberately ignored it. He was grateful of the company.
“George relied on Fadi for many things. But they had been estranged for 18 months.”
